Jackie: A financier who accompanied the squad in the field, who seems to be providing money for the war the main characters are involved in and, likely, their mission (HtP Finance).  He appears to have some connection to/bad memories of Belarus, and plays the guitar. In “How to Pronounce Lucky”, PB speaker indicates that he has an accent of some kind, saying,“ Jackie was lucky no one picked up on his accent” . Though this is not elaborated on directly, Jackie’s accent may be American (and, by extension, that Jackie is American), as the quote is similar in context to another segment of the story given a week later; In “How to Pronounce an American Accent”, PB speaker says, “I hope no one picks up on my American Accent”. It is also possible that Jackie is Latin American (and hence has a Latin American accent), as in HtP Guitar, it is related that Jackie once played “a mournful Latin melody on his guitar”. Unfortunately, he was dishonourably discharged for misappropriating a government aircraft, the [[Empire Sunrise]]. Jackie Dalton, a.k.a. Jackie or Dalton, (born 05/05/1932[1]) is a the CEO of the investment bank Bear Stearns, and the antagonist of the Game.

Background[]

Jackie was born on Cinco de Mayo, 1932. As a child, he dreamed of being a sommelier, but after an accident involving wine bearing, Jackie was taken to court and banned from ever bearing wines again. Additionally, he was given the choice between either prison or service in the armed forces, and chose the latter. By the time Jackie was fifteen, he was a junior private in the army.
